First stage of Horse Park Drive duplication open


The first stage of duplication along Horse Park Drive is now complete and open to traffic, improving safety, easing congestion and significantly upgrading walking and cycling infrastructure on this important arterial road.

The 2.4km section between Well Station Drive and Anthony Rolfe Avenue was completed under budget and eight weeks ahead of schedule. read more

As part of the final stages of the upgrade of Horse Park Drive between Anthony Rolfe Avenue and Well Station Drive there will be asphalt and median strip work and the traffic lights at the Mapleton Avenue intersection will be activated. read more

Police seek witnesses and dashcam footage of collision


ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a collision which caused significant damage to a guard rail on Horse Park Drive on Tuesday 11 April.

About 4pm, a vehicle collided with the guard rail on the westbound lanes of Horse Park Drive, Kenny, about 200 meters west of the Federal Highway overpass. read more

Reminder: Hibberson Street, Gungahlin permanent closure


With significant light rail construction progress being made along Flemington Road, work is soon to begin in Hibberson street. As a result, Hibberson Street will be closing permanently to vehicular traffic from Kate Crace Street to Gungahlin Place from Monday 10 April 2017 in order to start work on the Gungahlin light rail terminus.

Transport Canberra bus users will see diversions to services that travel through the Gungahlin Town Centre from Monday 10 April 2017, allowing for civil works for stage one of the city wide light rail project. read more

Partial night road closures on Horse Park Drive intersections


Work is progressing well on the Horse Park Drive duplication and the ACT Government will soon undertake night works to place asphalt at the Mapleton Avenue and Well Station Drive intersections.

The work to place an asphalt overlay will require a partial closure between 7pm and 6am for three weeknights at each intersection. read more

Next stage of Horse Park Drive duplication about to begin


Work on the duplication of Horse Park Drive from Anthony Rolfe Avenue to Mulligans Flat Road will start in coming weeks with the successful project tenders announced today.

“I am pleased to announce Canberra Contractors Pty Ltd as the successful construction contractor and AECOM as the supervision contractor to continue the duplication of Horse Park Drive from Anthony Rolfe Avenue to Mulligans Flat Road,” said Minister for Transport and City Services Meegan Fitzharris. read more

Road changes on Flemington Road and in the Gungahlin Town Centre for light rail works


Works associated with the light rail stage one project will result in a series of long term lane closures on Flemington Road starting 17 March 2017 until December 2017. There will also be changes to the Gungahlin Town Centre starting in April 2017. read more

We recently shared the news of Road opening creates better access to Gungahlin Town Centre which was Manning Clark Crescent from Flemington Road to Anthony Rolfe Avenue.
