Extra buses to Skyfire and free return services

Extra bus services including a free return shuttle will be available this weekend to help Canberrans get to Skyfire.

Transport Canberra Director, Public Transport Operations Ian McGlinn said that the additional bus services will make it easier for Canberrans to get to the shores of Lake Burley Griffin to enjoy the fireworks. read more

Changes to bus services at Gungahlin Town Centre

Transport Canberra bus users will see diversions to services that travel through the Gungahlin Town Centre from Saturday 3 March 2018.

“The construction of the Gungahlin Bus Station is progressing. To allow for the continued works within the Gungahlin Place precinct, Platform 1 Hibberson Street will close permanently and relocate temporarily to Gozzard Street until the completion of works on the new Gungahlin Bus Station are complete,” Director, Public Transport Operations, Ian McGlinn said. read more

Stage 2 announced for light rail

Woden to the City via the Parliamentary Triangle has been selected as the preferred route for the next stage of a Canberra’s city wide light rail network, connecting the north and south of our city, linking employment and cultural hubs and creating a public transport spine from Gungahlin to Woden.

This Cabinet decision follows extensive community consultation on the priority corridors for the next stage of light rail and preliminary investigations by the ACT Government.  read more
