Stage 2 announced for light rail

Woden to the City via the Parliamentary Triangle has been selected as the preferred route for the next stage of a Canberra’s city wide light rail network, connecting the north and south of our city, linking employment and cultural hubs and creating a public transport spine from Gungahlin to Woden.

This Cabinet decision follows extensive community consultation on the priority corridors for the next stage of light rail and preliminary investigations by the ACT Government.  read more

Rotary sponsors new club for Gungahlin teens

The Rotary Club of Gungahlin is sponsoring a new community Interact club for Gungahlin high-schoolers aged 12 to 18. Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people.

“Young people have ideas and energy, and they want to contribute to the community,” says Rotary Gungahlin President Sandra Mahlberg. “Interact empowers them to make a real difference in the world while having a great time, making friends, and developing valuable skills”. read more
