Helping your kids stay cyber smart and safe when online is easy with new evening programs starting next week at Libraries ACT.

Sessions will be offered for free by the Office of the Children’s eSafety Commissioner as part of a national program of Cybersmart initiatives. These are part of a six month pilot program being used at Libraries ACT that could possibly be rolled out across other libraries around Australia in the future. read more

CBRfree Wi-Fi trial on ACTION buses


From Monday free wi-fi will be available to passengers on five ACTION buses as part of a 12 month trial.

To manage Canberra’s growth, reduce congestion and protect our liveability, we need to improve our public transport system. Buses provide an essential community service, but they need to be improved for more people to use them more often. read more

Free public Wi-Fi now at Canberra Hospital and Community Health Centres


ACT Chief Minister and Minister for Health Katy Gallagher MLA announced that free public internet access is now available at the Canberra Hospital campus and at Belconnen, Gungahlin and Tuggeranong Community Health Centres.

"Public wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) was switched on across the ACT Health Wi-Fi network, following a successful trial of the service at the Canberra Hospital campus," the Chief Minister said. read more
