The revolution of Gungahlin’s town centre continues to move forward with stage one of light rail, a new bus station, transformation of Hibberson Street and the duplication of key roads, all taking shape.

ALDI to open in Amaroo

ALDI Australia continues to expand their presence in Canberra, with the securing of a commercial lease in Marquee, a mixed – use development located in the centre of Amaroo. The 1500sqm space will rival the adjacent Coles supermarket which opened earlier this year. read more

Premium blocks in Taylor and Throsby up for auction

The Land Development Agency will release two groups of premium blocks in Throsby and Taylor for auction later this month.

The 21 premium single residential blocks in Taylor are the next general release in Canberra’s newest suburb. While Taylor will eventually have 2,500 dwellings these generously-sized blocks are some of the best located, surrounded by landscaped open space, walking trails and waterways. read more

Coles creates 77 new jobs at new supermarket in Amaroo

Amaroo residents have been waiting a very long time for their very own shops and on the 8th of February they will finally have them! The new centre with Coles supermarket and a range of other specialty stores and basement car park is a welcomed development by local residents.

More than 100 local residents have secured a role at Coles’ new Amaroo, supermarket. The new market-style Amaroo supermarket will employ 77 new recruits and 30 existing team members who have transferred from existing Coles stores in the area.  read more
