Police release CCTV of property damage incident in Amaroo


ACT Policing is seeking to identify the offender from a property damage incident that occurred on Katherine Avenue in Amaroo on Thursday, 20 April 2017.

About 9.30pm, a man entered an ACTION bus and began a discussion with the driver. The male then exited the bus, picked up an item and threw it at the vehicle. The item connected with the glass paneled door which broke. The male then left the area on foot. read more

Police investigate property damage in Amaroo


ACT Policing is seeking witnesses after a stolen ‘bobcat’ excavator was used to cause extensive damage at the Amaroo District Playing Fields early yesterday morning (Sunday, 11 June 2017).

The excavator was stolen from a nearby building site and used to cause a large amount of property damage to infrastructure around the playing fields, including damaging the canteen, trees, bollards and fencing. read more

Witnesses sought to indecent act at Yerrabi Pond


ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an indecent act which occurred at Yerrabi Pond on Thursday 1 June 2017.

About 5.30pm, a man approached a 17-year-old girl near the playground adjacent to the bike path at Yerrabi Pond, Wunderlich Street, Gungahlin. The man was riding a mountain bike which he dismounted and engaged the girl in conversation. The girl walked away from the man along the path adjacent to Mirrabei Drive. read more

Police investigate assault in Gungahlin


ACT Policing is seeking witnesses after a 17-year-old male teenager was assaulted out the front of Gungahlin College between 1:30pm and 2:00pm on Wednesday, 3 May 2017.

Reports from the victim and witnesses indicate that the victim was sitting on a bench in the open public space out the front of the college when approached by a group of teenagers. After a short discussion with the alleged offender, the victim was assaulted. read more

Two facing court for multiple offences after incident in Palmerston


A 35-year-old Palmerston man and a 20-year-old Higgins man will faced the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday 5 May for forcible confinement, blackmail, drug and property related offences.

Police will allege that on Sunday 9 April 2017, the men forcibly confined and blackmailed a man at an address in Palmerston over a number of hours. read more

Police seek witnesses and dashcam footage of collision


ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a collision which caused significant damage to a guard rail on Horse Park Drive on Tuesday 11 April.

About 4pm, a vehicle collided with the guard rail on the westbound lanes of Horse Park Drive, Kenny, about 200 meters west of the Federal Highway overpass. read more

Police seek assistance to locate driver


ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to locate a driver involved in a collision with a police vehicle in Palmerston on Wednesday 19 April.

About 9.30pm, police drove into the carpark at Palmerston shops where a vehicle reversed and collided with the marked police vehicle. The vehicle then accelerated away and fled the scene. read more
