Register for the Garage Sale Trail. One person’s trash is another’s treasure


Canberrans are encouraged to register for the annual Garage Sale Trail to reuse household items that might otherwise end up in landfill.

Too busy to be bushfire prepared?


October marks the beginning of the 2017 bushfire season, so today Canberrans are being urged to prepare their properties and have a bush fire plan in case of emergencies.

New October bus timetable and free Green and Black Rapid travel has commenced


Canberrans are reminded that Transport Canberra’s new bus timetable has commenced this weekend, with the introduction of two new weekday Rapid bus services, improved service times across the network and better connections to meet the needs of our growing city.

The Mitchell Traders Association (MTA) seeks your support in lobbying the government to reinstate the proposed light rail stop in Mitchell. We would like the stop to be included into Light Rail Stage 1 - Gungahlin to Civic.

Vulnerable road users the focus for road safety in October


This month ACT Policing and the Justice and Community Safety Directorate joint road safety campaign will focus on awareness of vulnerable road users.

Children, pedestrians, motorcyclists and cyclists are vulnerable road users as they do not have the same protection as a car during a collision, which makes them more vulnerable. read more

Fundraiser for Thew family


Last month Gungahlin resident Jen Thew tragically passed away unexpectedly due to complications from influenza. Jen's daugther Estella is a student at Gungahlin local dance school GDANCE Acadmey.
