Gungahlin Impressions Open Art Program


Belconnen Community Services and Northside Community Service will run a 10 week Open Art Program called “Gungahlin Impressions” aimed at creative people who live in the Gungahlin region.

Participants in the program will be free to choose whatever art style they want to work on (murals, paintings, ceramic, sculpture, painting, mosaic, etc.) ; and if they want to work individually or in collaboration with another participant. No prior experience is needed and all the materials will be provided. read more

Horse Park Drive moves ahead with new stretch of road now open to traffic


The duplication of Horse Park Drive is progressing well with construction works on the section of road between Anthony Rolfe Avenue and Gundaroo Drive nearing completion.

The new section of road on this stretch of Horse Park Drive has been constructed and there will be a staged traffic switch from the existing lanes to this new section from tomorrow. read more

Man to face Court for Gungahlin burglaries


A 38-year-old Kambah man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, 16 August) charged with four Gungahlin burglaries and nine other related offences.

Following investigations into three burglaries in Harrison on 19 June 2017 and one burglary in Gungahlin on 14 August, members from Gungahlin Police Station and the ACT Police Targeting Team executed two search warrants in Kambah yesterday. read more

Man to face drug trafficking charges


A 32-year-old Crace man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning on drug trafficking charges (Tuesday, 15 August 2017).

Yesterday, members from Gungahlin Police Station executed a search warrant at a residence in Crace. During the search police located and seized a sum of cash and a substance suspected to be methamphetamine (ice). read more

Night Time Closure of Flemington Road for light rail works


As part of the construction of Light Rail there will be out-of-hours works occurring on Flemington road between the Federal Highway and Randwick Road.
