Police investigate vandalism spree


ACT Policing is investigating a spate of incidents in Casey where multiple houses and cars were damaged between Friday night and Saturday morning (11 to 12 April).

About 8am on Saturday morning, police began to receive reports that multiple houses and vehicles had been vandalized with black spray paint on John Crawford Crescent, Walter Crockerer Crescent and Tippett Street, Casey. read more

All ACT sportsgrounds open this weekend


Although there has been continued light rainfall, all ACT Government sportsgrounds will remain open this weekend.

If there is continued rainfall in the coming days consideration will be given to weekday training closures in order to protect and preserve the sportsground surfaces. read more

Every year the National Australian Pharmacy Students Association runs an initiative called 'Charity Cup' which aims to raise as much awareness and funds for our chosen charity as possible. ACT Policing has received multiple reports of houses and cars vandalised with black spray paint on John Crawford Crescent, Walter Crockerer Crescent, Tippett Street.

Free e-waste drop off in Fyshwick this Saturday


Canberrans with old or unwanted televisions and computers are invited to come along to a free e-waste collection event in Fyshwick on Saturday 12 April 2014, David Roberts, Acting Director, ACT NOWaste, said today.

"To help make it easier for Canberrans and people from surrounding regions to dispose of their televisions, computers and computer products such as printers, keyboards, mice and hard drives, TechCollect, a nationwide not-for-profit recycling service, will provide a temporary drop off site in Fyshwick on Saturday 12 April," Mr Roberts said. read more
